Vomatron – Feel the force that astronauts do

vom photoIn the 1960′S President Kennedy set N.A.S.A a task to put the first man on the moon.The astronauts had to undergo a vigorous training program to prepare them for the rigors of outer space! N.A.S.A. built machines which placed the astronauts bodies under extreme pressure.The force exerted on them could literally blow your mind.

The astronauts coped well, but for one machine which struck terror into all their hearts…In 2003 funtime was set with a task by it’s President…To scare the hell out of it’s customers.The ride is based on the machine all the astronauts feared at Cape Canaveral.

The Vomatron is powered by six huge electric motors (the first of its kind), it rotates the giant 200 foot arm at speeds of up to 70 mph. These rotations throw the capsules into extreme spins putting up to 4 g’s of force upon it’s unwary passengers. Then, just as you thought it was over…

We spin it in reverse with the same degree of pure torture as before! If you want to feel the force that the brave astronauts did, then you need to feel the force of the Vomatron.

About The Vomatron

The Vomatron can best be described as a giant propeller with seats on each end. This is similar to the centrifuge used by astronauts to simulate rocket acceleration except mounted vertically. It is powered by 2 huge electric motors that rotate the giant 40 meter arm at speeds of more than 120 kilometers per hour, throwing the capsules into extreme spins putting 4gs of force upon its unwary passages. Then just as they think it is all over… We spin it in reverse with the same degree of pure torture as before.

The passengers are restrained by an overhead lap bar which can be fixed in different positions to match various body sizes, the seats and the overhead lap bar are covered in a layer of soft foamed polyurethane which ensures maximum passenger comfort while they undergo the stresses of this ride. The overhead lap bar is restrained with a double locking rack mechanism which is hydraulically actuated. This locking mechanism can only be opened with an operator activated release key, therefore guaranteeing maximum rider safety.
